Our Story

From emergency medical services to integrated workplace health.

The organisation’s history began with Medical Air Rescue Services, established in 1996 in Lilongwe, Malawi. Dr Joseph Aryee assumed leadership of the service in 2003, building experience in clinical care, occupational health, emergency medicine and medical evacuation.

In 2012, Emmanuel Medical Services was established to deliver integrated clinical care, occupational health and emergency medical services for the Nacala Corridor Rail Link Project and its large, distributed workforce.

EMS now applies that experience to organisations seeking structured medical services, stronger workplace-health systems and dependable clinical leadership.
